Over the past year, we have witnessed the incredible impact of Nicole Elliott, our dedicated volunteer in Ukraine. Nicole has been a steadfast pillar of support for hundreds of Ukrainian refugees, providing them with hope and assistance as they rebuild their lives after the devastating war.

Nicole's journey has been nothing short of inspiring. She courageously returned to her hometown of Irpin after seeking refuge in Romania when the conflict erupted. Nicole's determination to help others never wavered despite being away from Ukraine. For the past 14 months, she has tirelessly driven aid across the border, reaching out to thousands of women, children, and individuals in need.

What sets Nicole apart is her personal involvement in every step of the process. She personally purchases and delivers essential supplies to the communities she connects with, ensuring that she understands the precise needs and quantities required. Her dedication and hands-on approach have made a remarkable difference in the lives of those she touches.

Nicole has let us know that the shelling around Kyiv is intense. In May there have been 11 major attacks and she is often awoken by missiles flying overhead to the city. Despite the continued threat to her safety, she is glad to be back in Ukraine where she can meet more people in need of her help and make a difference in such dire times.
